What USB is it? and how to use it?


USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. USB is a technology that allows us to connect external devices (peripherals) such as scanners, printers, mouse, keyboards (keyboards), tool storage (zip drive), flash disk, digital camera or other device to the computer. USB supports data transfer at 12 Mbps (million bits per second).


Usually provided at least two ports. Compared with a parallel port and a serial port, USB port usage easier in use.

1. More than 127 devices can be connected to a computer directly or using a USB hub
2. Computers can be positioned into a host 
3. The USB cable that is used directly to reach 5 meters. Meanwhile, if using a hub device can reach 30 meters.  
4. USB devices are 'hot swappable' means hardware that is using the USB port is plug and play

If opened, the USB cable will be seen there four colors, namely red, brown, yellow and blue. Red and brown cable doubles as a power / for electric current. Yellow and blue wires serve to bring / transfer data.

How to Connect a USB Flash disk with Computers 

Flash disk is a device that uses a USB port to connect it to the computer. Flash disk serves as a data storage medium. How to connect a flash drive to the computer very easily.Insert the flash disk into a USB port that is already available. If your computer uses Windows XP and above it will automatically flash disk will be recognized. Whereas if we use Windows 98 or Windows 9x, then usually the Flash driver must first be installed. Once Flash disk identified we can start copying data from / flash disk into our hard drives.
