History of Windows XP and the type of its kind






Windows XP formerly codenamed Whistler, developed by Microsoft's developers mid-2000s. Along with this project, Microsoft is also preparing a new generation successor Windows Windows Millennium Edition / Windows ME, called codenamed "Windows Neptune" to be projected as a home-based version of Windows NT. After Windows ME is considered less successful rival the success of Windows 98, Microsoft finally decided to combine two of the Windows operating system (OS based on Windows NT and Windows 9x based OS) into a single product. That is what we know today as Windows XP.Windows XP there are various types of them:1. Windows XP Professional is the operating system that is made for desktop computers connected to a network, and can be a server computer2. Windows XP Home Edition operating system is intended for home users. Basically there is no difference with the Professional version, which differ only limited networking features.3. Windows XP Media Center Edition is the operating system version of Windows XP that is destined for devices such as HiFi, and computers are placed in the living room or family room. Windows is not much different from the Windows XP Home Edition, but has added support as a personal video recorder or abbreviated Personal Video Recorder.4. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition Operating System is another version of Windows XP that is intended specifically for Ultra Portable PC, Microsoft named as Tablet PC.

 
5. Windows XP Starter Edition is another version of the Operating System Windows XP Home Edition that has been translated into the local language of each user / user by using the Language Interface Pack (LIP).6. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is a version of Windows XP Operating System that is more devoted to the processor with x86-64 architecture7. Windows XP Professional 64-Bit Edition for Itanium is the Operating System supports microprocessor technology, the IA-64 used by Intel Itanium processors and Intel Itanium 2
